Which oils would you like to try?

I've always bought oil based on price, so there are some oils I haven't tried.

Which oils do you want to try?


For me:


Euro oils: Castrol 0w30 and the new Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 0w40.

Both are lighter than the old M1, Castrol 0w40 and Ultra 5w40 which I have used.


API: Pennzoil Ultra, Mobil 1, Mobil 1 Extended Performance, a very high VI 0w20, Platinum 5w30

Have used or bought Motorcraft 5w20, Synpower 5w30, Quaker State UD 5w30, Pennzoil Platinum 5w20, Castrol Edge 10w30, Castrol Synblend, AFE 0w30, Edge 5w20

Just want to try Redline, I used Amsoil, euro specs, HDEO, Motul, RP etc.

Amsoil Signature Series 0W20 and 10W30

Lubri-Moly Full Synthetic 10W30

Quaker State Ultimate Durability 0W20 (hard to find in my area- always sold out)

Pennzoil Ultra. I finally ordered some after saying I would a couple years back.

I have Magnatec 0W-20 ready to go for my next oil change. After that I really want to try Synpower, especially since I have mostly used Valvoline in the past. Castrol has just been cheaper in my area at the moment. If Havoline ProDS in 0W-20 ever becomes available and cost-effective, I'd like to try that as well.

I use that in my rotation - and I'm only amazed that I perceive it to be louder than the loud oil ... but it will get used full OCI ...
And try the next jug in another motor ...

Pennzoil platinum HM. I've got enough oil to last me for a while. I don't see me trying it for some time to come. Not until my current oil stash is used up.

Mobil 1 High Mileage 10w30 (prefer the old high zinc SL version)
Delo SAE 30
Kendall SAE 30

And I wish I has enough engine to justify running Penrite 10-Tenths again.

I often find myself resisting the temptation to change my oil early, just to try a different oil.

I've always run Mobil 1, but I've heard that Quaker State Ultimate Durability makes an engine very quiet. Curious to test that out one day.
