Which oil filter

Expert help:
Oil change intervals of 10,000 miles on full synthetic amsoil.
Which oil filter would be best at filtering and ability to hold the most contaminates:

Amsoil EA
Wix XP / Napa Platinum
Purolator Synthetic

No experience with Amsoil filters, but both the Wix XP and Puro Syn are great filters. Run either with confidence.

Not sure about the Amsoil Ea, but the Fram Ultra has all the other full synthetics you listed beat in the efficiency and holding capacity specs.

Why only 10k on SS Amsoil?

Well it's only my second run on signature and will get a uoa at 10k. We don't drive but about 12k a year so our short trips are harder on the oil

out of the filters you named i would go with the napa platinum since they are easy to obtain and better build build quality over the puro syn.

That works.. You can always go with the EA15k Amsoil filter.. It's rated to 15k miles or so..

Fram Ultra's are also a very very good value an can get at local parts stores and they're good for 15k or so also..

For filter-M1, Fram Ultra, Wix, Napa gold, Bosch premium. Any of those could easily cover the OCI you want.
Maybe consider TGMO or the new Mazda with moly oil. The short trips you mentioned and OCI are a perfect fit for those oils and will allow you to take advantage of the high VI that will minimize startup wear and maximize mpg on short trips. They are probably quite cheaper than Amsoil to. Just food for thought.

I'm sure those are good but I'm an amsoil preferred customer so I'll stick with amsoil. A few of my customers go 10k but don't want the high end amsoil filters so if I could save them $5-$6 per filter they would go that route
