I was using Motorcraft filters on my jeep, but now I just got a 2011 Scion XB and motorcraft doesn't make a filter that crosses over to my application. I like to buy my oil and filters at walmart, but all they have besides motorcraft filters are fram filters. So, I have an Autozone next door to my work and will probably grab my filters there now. They have Bosch, Mobil 1, STP, Fram (Extra and Tough Guard), AC Delco, and K&N filters. I am running coventional oil ( I may stick with the new Valvoline Nxt Gen) and will change oil every 5,000miles. Which filter do you think would work the best for me?

I use MC and Purolator PureOnes, but I thought that Fram TG or Extra filters have good reviews here. I think I have seen more than a few times folks have said that Fram TG filters are decent for the price.

If your going to change your oil at 5,000 miles just use any one of the cheapest filters you listed.

That sounds like Motorcraft filters.

From AZ I am partial to the Bosch and Mobil 1 filters. I only get the M1s with a special, though. I ain't forking over $14 for a filter!!

Yeah, I know they are good filters, but was kinda scared off by the price. I didn't know if the Bosch Filters were any good. Maybe I'll give the those or the Fram Tough Guards a try, which I can get at walmart cheaper anyways.
