I know it varies but my pet dislike is seats that are too short under your upper leg (butt to knee). even the new camry, the seat stops several inches from behind your knee.
what car brand has biggest seats or is it a truck?

I would say without a shadow of a doubt the best seats overall have been in Volvos.

I have heard people say before that they make the best seats in the business. As far as my experience goes.. That is true.

The entire R interior is absolutely fantastic, but the seats are just incredible.

In some cars, that bottom part of the seats can be extended with a press of a button, so that you can adjust its length to your liking.

Most new vehicles have very comfy front seats, not like 20+ years ago.

When I first sat in my LS400 20 years ago I remember that I was so impress with the comfort of the driver seat, it has all the supports at the right places.

Around 1997-1998 the worse driver seat was a rental Ford Tempo, my back hurt badly even when I was driving that car for less than 10 minutes at a time. If someone gave that car to me free of any cost I would replace the front seats the minute I got the key.

The Holden based Pontiac GTO had some very comfortable seats as does the newest GM trucks. The 2015 Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade seats are very nice.

On the other hand, the seats in my 08 Cadillac CTS are dissapointing. Hopefully the new redesigned one has better seats.

I had a pair of Lancia Delta Integrale Recaro's in my Mk2 Golf before I sold it for the Scirocco - they were amazing! So supportive and still armchair-comfortable after 20 years and 80k miles.

Modern seats are too...well...they're just not 'right'

For a truck, the seats in the new F-150 are really nice. I haven't sat in anything except an Austin Martin that has seats as comfortable as those in the M5 though

The best seats I have ever owned were in my 1999 Chevy Suburban LT with the leather 8way captains chairs up front. I wish I still had that truck.

I would agree with that. My 2004 GTO had the best seats of any car I have ever owned. Nothing else has even come close, save maybe the Recaro's in my '83 T Bird Turbo Coupe, but that's going a long way back in memory.

Our '04 Jaguar is also very comfortable. There is more to comfort than just seats, imo. You can put comfortable seats in a crummy car, and you've still got a crummy car.

Volvo, SAAB (Yes, SAAB is still making cars)

Also think that any Recaro branded seats are very good you will even find them in any number of major car makers with the branding on them.

VW, Audi, Renault, Peugeot.

But 2010 one has amazing seats !

My 2013 Sorento has very comfortable seats, and the 2011 Sportage I drove before it was quite comfortable too.

Funny you mention Hyundai. My dad had a 1987 Excel, and though most of the car sucked big time, the seats were okay. It really disturbs me to think about how some expensive cars can have lousy seats. He also told me that in the air cooled VW Beetles, the seats actually had lumbar support where it belonged, something he said he didn't even feel in Cadillacs of the same era!

My Mitsubishi is the only Japanese car that had regular seats that I really like. They are not as good as seats found in good European cars, but they work well for me.

I like BMW Sport or Comfort seats. I've also been impressed by the Recaros in the Ford STs as well as the optional ones in the MCS JCW. I love the E21 Recaros I installed in my '02, but all the nanny equipment in modern cars make seat retrofitting problematic at best.

I think it's a tie between the MK6 GTI seats and the sport pkg seats in the F10 5-series.
