ok oil pro's, like most here, im looking to protect an investment as well as possible, so i need some advice. i have a baja bug offroad play car with a 250 hp blown v6 engine, running a 70's era vw bus transaxle which i just had rebuilt several months ago which was NOT cheap. i filled it with regular gear oil for break in, but i feel now is the time to switch to a synthetic for better protection. i was thinking of using amsoil MTG, but have also been recommended redline shock proof. this transmission gets abused, alot, so i am looking for the best protection i can get. any ideas?
which gear oil?

My BIL recommends 75% MTG with 25% SVT. My BIL has a dune buggy with a similar combo and he says this mix is great.
