I have a '08 2.0 Kia Spectra, bought it was 28k and changed the oil with Castrol EDGE 5w30 and a P1 version of a Wix 51334 (sorry, p1 site is down and I don't remember the number.)

Wix specs the 51356 as having a better beta ratio than the 51334, but P1 specs the 51356 equiv at 40 micron vs 20micron of the 51334 version. I know these filter numbers are interchangeable. If I continue to run the p1 filters, which filter number am I better off running?? I use the Pl14610 on my mitsubishi, and thought it might be nice to stock one filter number for both cars unless one is better than the other.

You want the 51334 check the specs. The 51356 has a tiny diameter I use it on my JD ZTR mower. At 2.685 and 20x1.5mm its the longest tiny diameter filter that will fit but its honestly not very big at all.

I would also suggest using the hyundai/kia filter its very good and can be purchased for less then $5 a piece online. The cost benefit on them is huge. The OEM filter is total quality.

I like to run a longer filter and I have the room so I run a 51347 on my kia.

And half the capacity of a filter that is not all that large to begin with. Do you want better filtration in a package with half the capacity?

If you want better filtration go with a EAO20 and run it for 2-3 changes depending on length. Or a EAO36 if you have the head room to run it.

EAO20 = 51334
EAO36 = 51347
