Which conventional oil is the best?

I'm wondering which conventional oil would be the best choise for my 2013 2.4L Kia engine: Valvoline conventional, Mobil Super or Pennzoil conventional. I'm going to use 5w30 grade and drain every 3.5 to 4k miles

Cheapest pancake syrup you can find will handle 3K.

The three oils you listed are all excellent and will handle 5-7500 without a problem.

The answer is yes. Anyone is best. Now it's up to you do do the rest of the periodic maintenance and exercise reasonable driving habits.

Considering you're only planning on doing a 4k mile OCI max.
Any of the three will serve you well.
Pick which ever is cheaper and easiest to obtain where you're at.

Which ever one meets the requirements for your vehicle at the lowest price. That's the best one for 4k mile OCI.

4k really isn't much at all, you will be dumping the oil with plenty of life left regardless of which brand you choose. At your OCI it's all the same. They will all serve you well.

any conventionall that you mentioned will go 5K easy so I concur with 3800's comment

I'm liking Pennzoil conventional. Gave me the best wear numbers ever in my 08 Jeep Wrangler. Even better than the PP or Mobil 1 Truck and SUV I used to use.

Be sure that if you end up paying more for conventional than a synthetic on sale you're doing it wrong.

Depends on the engine. If your engine is prone to sludge or varnish, Pennzoil conventional might be a better choice. If not, Valvoline conventional might provide better wear over the long haul but won't have the same cleaning power.

Definitely depends on the engine.
I had a 3.0 Mitsu V-6 that hated any Pennzoil products Conventional or Synthetic.

As others have said...any name brand SN conventional will easily do 5K OCI's.

IMO, Pennzoil Conventional is the best conventional on the market.

Doesn't Hyundai (Kia's daddy) recommend Quaker State in their engines...it's a fine oil.
