I dont think there's one with less than 100hp.Yet,they are strugging to get 40+ mpg out of them.Tune them down a bit like the old days (69-90 hp) and watch MPG rise.Remember,a GEO Metro 1.0 3-cylinder was only beat in mpg by diesels,and it was only rated around 50-60 hp.
Whatever it is...I dont want one!
I'm wondering brand new car sold in 2011.

Fiata 500 is 101hp I think.
For compact car the VW 8 valve 2.0L is 115hp, still in production.

The smallest hp in a normal sized car is about 100, in the Mazda 2

Smart: 70 hp.
Is the Scion iQ officially available here yet? I think it's right around 70 hp with the 1.0L engine, but we'll probably get the 1.3L.

The 2012 Nissan Versa has 106 HP from a 1.6L according to the good old boys at Motoweek. I think my 1973 Vega had more, like 120 or so.

In addition the Smart cars require the more expensive high octane gasoline while your Corolla requires the less expensive low octane gasoline.
