The oil can be blended to spec on the lower end of the 20 viscosity or the higher end of the 20 viscosity.
 
Listen to those who suggest a major brand 5w-20. Why would anyone listen to someone suggesting 5w-30 or 0w-20 when it is not recommended for your NEW Ford and jeopardize your warranty??? They have nothing to lose if your engine takes a dump and Ford finds something other than 5w-20 inside and denies your claim.

Do you know the definition for "manufacturer recommends"? Where does the OP-here mention "manufacturer mandates"?

I would bet if you looked on his oil fill cap it will show 5w-20. Don't start separating pepper from fly cr*p.
