I'm in Houston and have a twin outboard boat in Palacios. I'm wanting to get tc-w3 2 stroke oil and when you burn 50 gallons a trip I'm wanting to either find it really cheap somewhere or maybe buy a 55 gal barrel
of it. Both for cost and ease of having it there. I can't seem to find any and I guess my google searches aren't up to the task. Any ideas? Also is Walmart the best place to look? The Pennzoil 2 stroke is very good but wouldn't mind finding it on sale or in bulk.

Try asking at the marina fuel station? They won't be the cheapest but you might figure out the brand and an alternate way of getting it.

That's a good idea. When I need transmission fluid that isn't normally carried by the stores, the shell distributors have it. You can go to their warehouse and just pick it up. Shipping is really expensive.

Forgive my lack of knowledge, but isn't that mixed at 50:1 or 100:1 or something? Even at 50:1 that is enough for 2500gallons of gas. You burn 2500gallons of gas on one trip!!!!...³

50:1 would be 50 parts gas to 1 part oil. 55 gallons would treat 2750gallons of gas.

I think he meant he consumes 50 gallons of gas per trip. So he would need 1 gallon per trip.

I think a drum would be inefficent- you would have to get a pump for it, measure it, risk contamination/moisture..then theres always settling and the amount left in the bottom that you have to wrestle to get out.

I would just buy it by the case.

West marine has gallon jugd of tcw3 on sale typically for like $13.99/gal. Also Academy has quicksilver for about $20/gal.

Yep..+1. There are 2 fuel companies near me and while they don't sell consumer size packaging, you can go to them and buy a drum. They'll even load it for ya. Or, maybe the OP can ask the marina to order a drum if he prepays it and it'll be dropped off since the marina already has an account.🤔

Silly me didn't realize and thought he burned a while drum of oil per trip. Where is he going Japan?? Or some cigarette that burns 10 gallons leaving the dock.

Much smaller problem. Grab 4 gallons of ST at a time. its good stuff. been running it for years. I mix it with Seafoam though to keep the engine and fuel system clean.
