Do a pressure test.
Don't always assume a catastrophic failure. Sometimes it's something very simple like a loose or malfunctioning cap. There's a reason the auto parts stores have racks of them.
I prefer the rolled edge all-stainless screw clamps from a marine store for replacements. Expensive, but they never lose tension and last forever.
