Where Are All the 90 pound Weaklings?

On a documentary about the Woodstock movie, the producers addressed the 'skinny' look of the people photographed. It was because of the lens used, and the subsequent projecting lens used.
Anamorphic should have been used to match them, I believe.

Well, are you sure? I'd love to look at my old pictures ..and how skinny I looked then wiht these eyes ...and KNOWING that when I was "skinny" ...I was as husky as they came for the era. Just like Bubba Smith was a giant @ 280 lb ...and is now dwarfed by the 350 lb linemen ..so our entire society (except for svelt model like young women) has become part of the expanding universe.

I always try to avoid trouble and stay away from places where it might be found because I know how to fight to hurt people and I get mean when I'm provoked. I don't look like much until someone looks closer, then they always think "Hmm, this might not be a good idea".

Also I used to work in a psychiatric hospital and part of my job description was restraining, or flattening, insane people. I second the notion that women can be tough fighters.

Now you're trained to take down a patient in the least aggressive manner possible (there's extensive and frequent retraining on these techniques since regulations change often on "legal" holds/techniques in the mental health field). Naturally when it was called for with a larger client ..they always want me to do it. You never intend to hurt the client ..but on one take down, it was a younger kid, we both ended up in the air with him under me when we landed. The poor kid (he wasn't truly crazy - ours was an intake and evaluation/placement center as well as an accute treatment center) just said "I give!" as he held his chest. My amazing wife is a trainer in the contemporary techniques for her institution (very large).

But you're right, you don't know what's going to come out of the small dog ..they always bark the loudest and they may even have the worst bite. People don't always respond in a rational mannerto a showing of superior force. So you hope your reflexes are up to the task of deflecting that first strike.

Even those UFC & related fighting tournaments do not allow two or three of the most effective ways to hurt someone:

1. Biting; Humans can be very dangerous biters.

2. The good 'ol Nad-grab/squeeze; very effective

3. Finger poke to the eyes and/or long fingernails scraping parallel to & above the eyebrows; A man can't fight if he is trying to wipe blood from his eyes.
