not that abe was not important, but washington was just as or more impartant as abe.

While G. Washington was maybe the "First" I wouldn't say he was that important as well.

Intellectually during the founding of our country those that had something to do with the Constitution would be far more "important" than 1. that took away from the constition and put us on "The Road to Serfdom". and 2. The other that rowed a boat across the Deleware.


Men who had much to do with writing the Constitution included John Dickinson, Gouverneur Morris, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Thomas Paine, Edmund Randolph, James Madison, Roger Sherman, James Wilson, and George Wythe.

cal - That story originated in a horrible and very short lived 'comedy' TV series concerning the life of Abe Lincoln's butler.

Several months ago the History Channel aired a program about Lincoln. Surprisingly, they mentioned that he did have a male friend (friends ?) that would routinely sleep with him - even as president. They suggested that there was no evidence that it was sexual in any way, but still...
