I had to borrow a CarDAQ Plus-2 yesterday to program a car. The car had a fault code that required reprogramming to resolve. The CarDAQ is $1680 plus the cost of a battery maintainer. The dealer charges $155 (1hr labor) to flash the car. So for the average person, it would not be worth the cost. And even for a shop, unless you program a lot of cars, the ROI may not be there.
