I have some SJ and SL Castrol GTX 10-40 that I am looking to blend with 5-20 to use in my early 90's toyota car.

I assume SJ/SL GTX is low sodium, so I am concerned about mixing it with new High Sodium GTX. What would be a good mixing oil for this older GTX oil? I am thinking a Warren Oil like Peak or Pro Line. What do you guys think?

+1 you have an almost 20 year old car. Sodium wont make a difference. If you don't feel comfortable putting in your car just use it in your lawn mower and buy something else

Also, just to add, PEAK and Proline have sodium as well. Sodium (the type they use) is actually an outstanding corrosion inhibitor. We think sodium and rust (at least I do) but that couldn't be farther from the truth in this case.

I do not fear it. I just prefer if the cost to me are the same to use a motor oil that uses Calcium.
