Is this a good deal on Castrol GTX?

The product is Castrol GTX 10W-30 in the white jug. I am presented with the option to purchase at $10 per 5 quart container. They come 3 jugs per box and the seller wants to unload an entire pallet. Is this stuff worth $10 a jug for vehicles that require nothing more than API SP/ILSAC GF-6? It seems to sell for $22.99 at most places to include WalMart.

I am certainly not buying the entire pallet but a few cases could come in handy if the product is worth it. What do you guys think?

Where is this being sold ? You mention a pallet - a full pallet of this oil or that and other stuff ?
It isn't being sold to the public. It is a mis-shipment sent to a local store that doesn't normally carry this UPC item. I am thinking of buying 3 cases (9 jugs) which I can use in my truck and a few older vehicles that I service for charity.

Thank you to all for the input.

Eh, I wouldn't use it except maybe in riding lawnmower or guns so really not that great of a deal to me.

Just to close out this thread, I ended paying $6.75 per 5/qt. jug for this oil. I bought four cases -(2) 5W-30 and (2) 10W-30. Another gentleman who was a former co-worker of mine bought the remainder of the entire pallet for a slightly higher cost per container.

This was officially declared the deal of the century and may appear in the next edition of the Guinness book of World Records.

Castrol GTX Synthetic five quart jug for $7?....... great deal. Even at double that price of $14.
There are no bad name-brand ILSAC oils these days. A 5k OCI in an easy diluter won't wear it out
I don’t believe this is the full synthetic here, I don’t see anywhere where the OP suggests it is. It looks like it is conventional GTX.

That's good most 10/30 dino is not synthetic blend where 5/30/20 is
This pallet of oil had three varieties - 5W-30, 10W-30, and 10W-40. I really have no use for the 10W-40 and I go against factory recommendations with regard to the 10W-30 but I'm in a southern climate so it works out well. I believe that in order for these oils to meet the newest standards they need to use a higher quality base stock just to pass the minimums.
