Update. I pulled the hub covers (didn't like the looks of them anyway) and painted the center area silver to match the wheels. My grease caps have rubber gaskets where they press against the hub. Really like the utilitarian look of the raw bolts being exposed and it actually goes well with the $1 meijer anti rust enamel paint.
Wheel covers/center caps--really needed?
