5K on my truck and minivan.
I change the oil in my wifes Maxima on the first day of every odd numbered month. I never drive her car and can't keep up with her mileage. I estimate she drives a minumum of 2000 miles a month.

I use Pennzoil in all three vehicles.

Currently I run 10,000KM (6K Miles) on Amsoil with EAO filter and it returns superb numbers on the UOA. I'm about to double that to 20K KM (12K Miles) because I have lots of room according to the TBN, TAN, Additives and wear metals.

This will make for really great synthetic protection and help bring the cost down to that of a more frequent dino change well helping the environment with less waste oil and filters.

Not to mention... I can also spend less time changing my oil and more time bragging about the OCI to my friends.

I must be wasting oil because I change my daily driver @ 8000-9000mi with synthetic, and that's 75% freeway miles. Looks like many people are going over 10k

I do 5000 mile interval because my commute to work is 2 miles and all city driving. Like Johnny said, 5k is easy to remember.

Between 3,000-5,000 miles depending on how much of it is highway driving and how long it takes me to put on those miles. Lately I've been doing a lot of driving, so my OCI's are at 5,000 miles right now.

I bought my Silverado used last year with 81K on it I run Max Life and change it every 3 months. I usually go less than 2000 miles over the 3 months.

You're changing your 6 month oil every 3 months?

Hey everyone. First post!

The wife's explorer gets Mobil 1 0W30 with 5000 mile oci per the OLM. It has 85,000 miles on it. Its sitting in the garage right now waiting for a new alternator to arrive. It'll be its very first repair. I think the high iron from Mobil 1 had something to do with it.

My mazda 3 gets Mobil 1 0W20. I've always used the 7500 mile oci. It has 52,000 miles on it.
