Mine out of the bottle: Sprecher's

Out of the can & with Ice Cream: A&W.

Favorite draft: 1919 Root Beer.

What's yours...?

Hires was a decent Root Beer. Haven't seen it in a long time. Is it even sold anymore?

IBC is pretty good for low cost stuff, I haven't seen it for awhile.

Barq's is OK, but why do they put caffeine in root beer?

I like Kemper and Henry Weinhard's (their cream soda is better than their root beer!).

I like Barq's over other stuff I've tried in memory, but it's not like I ever set out to discern a favorite among many. Also, calling one "the best" is like declaring a certain color better than the rest.

I only have Sprecher once in awhile, usually when it's on sale and I notice a huge pile of it at the store.

Not sure how far the distribution is, the factory is just north of Milwaukee and has a decent brewery tour.

Toured the brewery. Their root beer outsells all their beers combined.

MNgopher - it's on Draft at the Dakota County Fair in Farmington at the Church stand near the middle (saw it this morning...) $2 for a big cup.

Virgil's root beer is my favorite. Draft A&W is good also.

Factiod:
The owner of Sprecher owns a home nearby so we have Sprecher beer distribution locally even though it's not distributed to the West much.

Almost forgot but on a nice cold day sitting at TCF stadium watching the Minnesota Golden Gophers its always nice to have a little flask with some Root beer Schnapps. Does that count?
