My favorite apples are Fuji. They are very crispy/crunchy and taste sweet and a little sour at the same time. Very juicy, too.

Jazz apples or granny smith

Is honeycrisp available at most supermarkets? I don't remember seeing it, then again, I haven't actively looked either...

Fireside!

Tip: Put small chunks of apple in your Turkey Stuffing along with Sage Pork Sausage.

Crispen. (old name was Mutsu). Crispen is a cross between the Golden and the Fuji (although some say a cross between the Golden and the Indo).

Also like Russett's. Not good looking, but the taste GREAT.

(Note: I was born and raised in Apple Country, Western New York.)

Any that are crunchy and organic, because commercial apples are a major source of pesticides. Organic Fuji, Gala, etc. are real good.
