One of the most idiotic things I see around here in SC is folks who drive around 10 mph below the posted limit then when a passing zone comes up these ******S speed up, to prevent others from passing, it is all VERY deliberate.
Usually I will give them the evil eye as I pass by them. Well deserved, because it seems as if they want to cause you harm by their actions.
I agree that extremely slow drivers are just as bad. I am guilty of having tailgated a couple of them. It was not necessarily the right thing to do, but they were being ridiculous about their driving and I couldn't pass them. Tailgating was an absolute last resort. Usually there is a line of cars tailgating a very slow driver. If someone can't operate their car without messing up the flow of traffic, they should have someone else drive them or ride the bus.
I have been tailgated as well by some of the people who have to do 20 over the speed limit around here. I just keep driving like normal, and if I need to brake I hope they are paying attention. If not the trailer hitch should take care of most modern cars. I never brake check anyone, I don't want to intentionally cause a wreck on my end, but I won't take them into consideration if something happens in front of me.
