You are so right on this point. One of the big factors in poor driving etiquette (not to mention dangerous driving behaviour) is the lack of normal social interaction; cues and expectations. In your car, you don't have feedback from others, you can act without the consequences (real or expected) that you would have in a normal social situation....people assume the real character that exists underneath their public persona...they become jerks (or worse)...think "Lord of the Flies"...
