OK, here is the deal. I take plenty of interesting pics. I have my own website. However, getting pics on my site is a Royal Pain and takes too much time.

Getting pics on facebook is really easy with my iPhone.

Is there a simple way to load pics from various sources to a source that has a simple interface, reliable storage, won't run out of bandwidth and so on?

Here are a couple of pics from my website:

photobucket runs out of storage but not on this forum.

They have apps for various iphones and gizmos.

Many people upload to imageshack and use that site to provide the picture. It seems easy enough and is free. Just paste the info provided by imageshack, don't use the "enter an image" option of BITOG

Yup, I've been using photobucket for years and am generally happy with it, but I don't post a ton of pics. They removed the storage limit for free accounts, but they have a 10 GB/month bandwidth limit. I typically don't come anywhere near this limit, but if you post a lot of photos and link to them on many very active forums, I suspect you can hit that limit pretty quickly. Make sure to resize your photos and compress them at a reasonable level to save bandwidth.

I know this is

, but what make of plane is that? Gulfstream possibly? At least from these two pictures it looks like a nice aircraft.

photobucket works great. from my iphone the app works well, though the addresses for individual pics are somewhat convoluted. Copy and paste makes it a non-issue though...

Uploading from a memory card is super easy with their bulk uploader. From the photobucket website or app, copying an image address, to paste into this site (with IMG code already appended automatically from photobucket) is super easy.

Really is a snap.

Photobucket is good, only issue I have with it is that it automatically scales down the picture to a smaller version instead of letting you keep the full size picture.

I can't stand trying to post pics on BITOG. I've tried to do it several times from Imageshack and I just keep running into issues. It's confusing, irritating, and better for me to just forget the whole thing. You would think something like posting a photo would be a simple thing....

Imageshack has a funky/strange/different link method than most. Photobucket makes it easy

I'm still trying to figure out why you're having problems with ImageShack. I just signed up with them in order to see how easy/difficult it is. I actually think it's very easy. They provide you with a "Forum Embed" link for each image. All you have to do is copy it and paste it into your message on BITOG. No need to add any UBB tags or anything else. It doesn't get any easier than this. I'm a member on many forums and BITOG doesn't make it any more difficult to post pictures than any of them.

That's exactly what I did. When I previewed the post....only text appears.
If it's so simple then I must be completely inept at computers (highly possible). I still don't see why it's needed to go from my computer photo files....to an image hosting site....THEN work my way through BITOG's rather confusing posting icons/instructions.
Sorry man....just not good at this stuff.

I think I just figured it out. The reason it's not working (at least for me) is the use of the 'enter an image' icon plus the 'floating left....right....' stuff. Very confusing for me and makes no sense. I just skipped all that junk and tried it again...per Pete's instructions.
Finally got it. Now if I only remember all that.

Yeah, no need to use those special BITOG image icons. Just paste the link and you're done. ImageShack has already done all the necessary formatting/tagging for you.
