Don't know if this is the cheapest, but I bought some Coastal 5w20 at AutoZone last month for $1.29 a quart. Also assume you mean regular price, but there are frequently sales/rebates.

76 semi synthetic is $.89/qt at GI-Joes in the Northwest. It's been that price for a long time. I believe it's a very similiar formula to motorcraft semi synthetic, same company at least.

SM GF4 rated Exxon Superflo for 65 cents after $4.20 rebate when Kmart has it on sale for $1 per quart.

PepBoys discontinued SL GF3 Citgo and it was on clearance for 59 cents. They might still have some in stock.

I think the cheapest around these parts would be the 5qt wally world ST @ 1.10 per quart...

When I get through my current stash, I will probably stock up on this cheapo oil. My wifes exploder could have the $7.56 oil change...

1 5qt 10W-30 ST (ExxonMobil) oil @ $5.49
1 ST e-core filter @ $2.07

Family dollar has some API SL/SM 10w40, I think the brand is "American", for $1.09. If they have 5w30 it's a dime more expensive IIRC and by then you could buy supertech. They also have some non-detergent 40 weight for around/under a dollar, but that wasn't your question.

Boaz, if your dollar tree still has trop artic, buy a case or two-- the ones around here have been out of stock since August 05.

My family dollar has that "american" stuff and honest, good old SM rated havoline. The havoline is near walmart's price and usually just 10w30 and 10w40.

One used to be able to get texaco antifreeze there too; IDK what brands they carry, if any, now.
