speaking of cheap oil...

i had a dream the other night that they had 5qt jugs of Havoline for .23cents! but it only came in 10w40. needless to say i had the store clerk pull all backstock out of storage and i loaded up my truck!

this is odd because i only use 5w30, and i dont even use Havoline (although its an excellent oil).

anyways, around mid-illinois its..
ST- 1.26
Trop Artic- 1.48
Wolfs Head- 1.28 (this may have changed since ive last seen it at the farm store)

if anyone around this area knows of anything cheaper tell me. i use the trop artic

Chevron Delo SAE30 $.99/gallon at Auto Zone.

You can't beat $.25/qt. Even my wife thought it was a good deal (providing you can use SAE30). My Wrangler trail rig and '59 Willys will enjoy it.

Supertech in these parts is $1.16 per quart these days. Advanced Auto is $1.28 per quart for their store brand. I'm not worried however, last count, I have 418 quarts in my "stash." Why do I need to buy more oil?
Yesterday however, I stopped off at "Big Lots" on the way home and they were selling "Safeway" SAE 30 weight for 0.99 cents a quart - API rated SM. I bought three cases. I couldn't help myself.
