What’s the best plain bran cereal?

The term cereal is commonly misused. Cereals are just grains - the seeds of grass such as wheat, oats, rye, barley, corn, rice, and sorghum. Most people use the term cereal when they mean breakfast/processed cereals which are refined, puffed, or baked with usually many other ingredients added. Thank the food industry for mislabeling in marketing.

Nobody is asking you to eat plain bran. Just mix it with something else that tastes better. Like I said, I like to mix bran in with pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, cocoa nibs, pistachios, chopped dates, chopped figs, or nuts and seeds, basically whatever I have at hand. I won't put it in yogurt. I find that revolting.

Everybody has the right idea.

My side door answer is sprouted rolled oats, cooked al dente in oat milk. It only takes 6 minutes. Cinnamon, vanilla extract, pinch of monk fruit sweetener, Real Salt, a little bit of nuts, seeds and berries complete the meal.

The result is amazing, in the blood stream and the brain. There is time-released sustained energy, satiation, and mental clarity, until well after lunch time.
