What's in your grease gun???

I have two guns. One has Valvoline Synpower in it (I love that this stuff never separates). It's ideal for sliding contact things like pivots, u-joints, etc. The other gun has Lucas Xtra HD (the green stuff).

I find myself using the Lucas more and more because it has such excellent wash-out resistance. And it meets lube-for-life requirements. This is the kind of grease that made sealed bearings ("lube for life") not only possible, but better.

The Synpower I use for things like ball joints, CV axles (needle through the boot if needed) etc. The Lucas is really a rock star in rolling contact bearings but it's also great on slip yokes and such where the Synpower would also be an excellent choice.

The Lucas seems to do everything the Valvoline will, but the reverse is not true.

Used up the last of the Co-op 1.5 moly grease. Now have PetroCan XL moly EP2. This will be used for skid steer pins, suspension components and such.

Amsoil Synthetic Polymeric Truck, Chassis and Equipment Grease, NLGI #1 in one grease gun and TRC 880 C&C #2 in the other. I need to open up an account at TRC for this grease again. It loads easily, doesn't separate, and works well in all of my applications.

Fresh tube of Valvoline Cobalt #2. I'm really liking this grease so far. No drips and hasn't dried out. I'm 2 tubes into a case

Marine grade grease. Use it on everything. Ball joints, tie rods, mower spindles, wheel barrow rims, sway bar links, etc. Repels water, therefore no rust/corrosion can set in. I don't use it on caliper pins. Too thick.

I switched the trailers to Redline CV2. Very happy with it so far. 700 mile (one way) trip with the boat and the hubs stayed nice and cool. Utility trailer gets a few hundred miles a week. The side by side gets the OEM suspension grease (XPS).

Marine grease for my car's greasable suspension parts that get dunked in salt water every winter in New York ( NY is part of the " Salt Belt" of the Northeast ) THE AMOUNT OF SALT APPLIED TO ROADS IS INSANE ! Every 2 years I have to scrape rust and re-paint/ undercoat frame and body parts. Thankfully moving out of the salt belt in a few years.
