What's For Supper?

A lady friend made supper for us tonight. She used her slow cooker. Chuck roast, potatoes, carrots, and rice & gravy.
The meat is so tender it can be cut with a spoon! C'est Si Bon!

I had a spaghetti TV dinner followed up with a Drakes coffee cake washed down with elcheapo clover valley swamp juice

I envy you tonight. A chuck roast cooked right with mashed potatoes, gravy and lima beans and I'm in heaven. Just don't get between my hands and my mouth.

Had a small plate of fresh durum semolina rigatoni with pesto. 100% extra virgin olive oil. Shaved Parmigiano-Reggiano. A supergreen and plant based protein smoothie to wash it down. Don't tell Auto Mechanic.

How does she make the gravy? That's something I haven't perfected yet.

She uses the drippings/juice/gravy from the slow cooker and thickens it with corn starch.

GENERAL RESPONSE: Our slow cooker has never let us down. I recommend them all the time.

SPECIFIC RESPONSE: Don't know what's for dinner yet as this is our anniversary and we're treating ourselves from either one of two outstanding ethnic restaurants we've only recently discovered.

Blue: did a top sirloin roast other week, it basically fell apart soon as I took a fork to it. Then made gravy for ground hamburger on homemade mashed potatoes. Can’t say the military term for it
