The wait till you really need it attitude here on BITOG is a bit absurd, the idea is to prevent leaks NOT stop them... At 15years and almost 200K mi surely there would be some benefit... There is also the the possibility the relatively "fresh" oil from short OCI are keeping the seals conditioned so in that light, maybe it would be best to continue with what's been working so far...

Basically there is no right answer...

BTW I don't consider the "free" oil change a perk in a company vehicle, if they want the oil changed they better provide the service, it ain't getting changed on my dime(I drove company vehicles over 36years, they maintained them)...

With a 3K OCI? Why? Even with a "sludger" a 3K OCI with any synthetic is a total waste. He could easily run the Valvoline HM and not have anything to worry about. His company is wasting money on a large scale as shown in the basic numbers that I posted. If I were him, I would show them how to save the money in return for 10% of the savings as a bonus.
