1998 Toyota Camry OCI

My wife's car (1998 Toyota Camry) is one of those famed sludge monsters. Currently, it has 140k on it. Out of fear of sludge, I have been changing the oil every 3k religiously since the 50k mile mark. My issue is this:

She now drives almost 3k per month, so I am changing the oil just about every month. (Currently using GTX High Mileage)

I am considering going to a high quality filter and perhaps a Syn. to reduce the number of oil changes I am doing. I am considering PP. Does anyone have any suggestion? Should I just continue what I have been doing?

I have been doing 10k OCI's in my 1996 Camry using AMSOIL Signature Series with a Mobil 1 filter; results have been excellent.

I would do 2 clean cycles of Auto-RX to clean the engine and then switch to PP for a more extended OCI.

Use Mobil 1 Extended Performance or Amsoil ASL or SSO, and go about 12k (4 months) on changes.
