I apparently have water in the bottom of my orchard heater. I need to get it out and was hoping to put something in it that will mix with the oil and the water so I can burn it out.
What will mix with motor oil and water?

Compressed air with line to burner off , A valve stem cut out of an inner tub over filler.
Methanol attracts water like crazy, not sure how it would do in your burning situation. Also depends on how much water we're talking about.
Can you stick a mixing blade of some sorts in there and blend the crap out of it?

Check out project farms latest video on diesel additives. While I generally disregard a lot of his videos, he does a segment on their ability to emulsify water and might be exactly what you need!
Water Zorb might be worth looking into.
I dont think there is much but just a few drops will cause it to overflow with oil on fire
It might just be easier and more effective to pump out the water at the bottom of the fuel tank by using a Mityvac type extractor.
This is what I was thinking. Tilt the tank so the water collects in the bottom corner and suck out the water with a MityVac.
I use Fuel Right in my in ground heating oil tank. Stumbled across it after helping friend with water in his old tank we had to pump out. On his we did the extractor thing to bottom. I checked my tank and had about 1.5 inch IIRC. Used a water indicating paste to check.
I used the Fuel Right and after 1-2 deliveries to mix it up, that was gone. I now use some before each delivery just because. Probably way more than needed like a shock treat (6 ounces per 200-400 gallon) but I'm Ok with that.
Another option may be like the BG Fuel System Drier.
Co-worker had issues with water in the spare tank in his boat. He said marina tech recommended https://www.phaser3000.com/ and that he added a bottle or two to his tank. He was able to switch tank feeds and run with no issues so used it almost all up then refilled with some more in there. He swears by it and also now swaps tanks more often to keep fuel fresher.

good idea, some old fashioned Power Service white bottle would probably work.
