I'd say using oil instead of normal coolant in an engine cooling system is pretty "controversial". What's 0W oil going to do when it's below zero, it will be pretty thick ... so it wouldn't a wise idea to do IMO.
idk sounds like a harmless question to me. How can we discuss anything mechanical around here without making someone angry. Everyone here has different backgrounds and may offer good input on using oil as coolant.

So below someone is discussing using ammonia as a refrigerant and that’s ok but a simple technical question is not? I’m not advocating anything - it was a discussion topic!
