It depends on the brand, too. Some brands are not as big sticklers. I had SCR mixer failure on BMW X5 35d. Went to the dealership, the service advisor asked me which oil I used: Mobil1 ESP 5W30 LL04. Who changed it? I did. Advisor: Thank you very much.
