The Tundra's transmission is almost as smooth

Colt - Interesting. It does shift smoother with the Synthetic fill. I'll drain again just in time to tow the boat a lot. this spring.

Maybe I'll do a 2nd drain & fill this summer, that'll get me up there...

I am running Amsoil trans fluid in my 98 Taurus and Daughters 96. I have also put it in a 91 Voyager that I bought with a bad trans. I replaced the trans and gave the van to my parents.

I also have it in my Dads 92 Dodge D250 truck and his 89 B350 van. The 89 van had Amsoil installed after the replacement trans had broke in. I have also installed it in other vehicles as well.

I will say if it holds up under my fathers driving it's indestructible!
Seems to hold up real well.

From what I've have read at least 90% synthetic is needed for true benefits of using synthetic.
I must have about a 85-90% synthetic with a purging of the stock fluid in my Explorer.
Will drain the pan and add 6 or so more qts of Amsoil to bring the percentage just under 100%.
However 70% synthetic is better than it was stock.
