What to use?

griots 3 in one ceramic spray wax. Good combo of low effort, durability, and "wax performance".
I’ve used it for a few years. It’s got kind of a mediocre ability to stay clean and “clogs” easily. I would give the new Armour Detail Supply Ceramic Spray a try. I’ve used their Adapt and it’s a strong sealant for a waterless wash, I can only imagine how good their actual sealant is.

What does clogs mean in terms of a finish?

So you are recommending a product you havent even used? Seems an odd choice of advice.

It loses much of its hydrophobic behavior once it gets dirty, especially with mineral deposits. Somewhat overrated product. I can bring it back with CarPro Descale but it doesn’t stay functioning as well as I’d like between washes.

I recommend something I haven’t used because in the two tests I’ve seen it was strong. The same resin is in the waterless, which I have tried. It’s just diluted and has surfactants. The waterless sheets water faster than Griot’s 3-in-1. It’s pretty impressive stuff.

I would also recommend Fireball Pirouette over Griot’s and I’ve used that.

That isnt my experience with griots but I'm not married to it.. I just like the low effort and good results.. no streaking etc.

Mine beads after 5 months of salt spray in the winter.. if I get a rainstorm to knock the dirt off it..

I'm not a wash and wax it every week kinda guy.

I found it odd you would recommend something you have never used. Usually, that is a prerequisite for anything I'm recommending.

It’s as low effort as any other spray sealant. It just isn’t impressive to me. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good, but it’s nothing special. I’d rather apply Gyeon WetCoat touchlessly every 2 months tbh.

I'm open to new products. It just takes me about 2 years to use a bottle.
I tried the turtle wax graphene spray and it had bad streaking on dark colors also took 3-4x the "work" to apply and buff.
Picked up 2 bottles on clearance... threw out 2 bottles.

Yeah I never tried the Turtle Wax graphene stuff. I haven’t tried a new sealant in a year or so since I coated my daily with Gyeon Mohs Evo and my father took my other car. I would recommend CanCoat if you want something durable and a clear step up from Griot’s though.

I really like the water behavior of Fireball Pirouette but I can’t say that it’s worth the price and I also don’t know how durable it is because I’ve never gone past 2 months on anything in the past year or two. I can’t help myself.
