I had a white VW beetle and when I waxed it the vehicle only looked clean. I just bought a Volvo in silver.
after I waxed it the finished product only looked clean. Is there any wax I can use to make the paint POP!
Thank you

Volvo has really nice silvers they pick, so I bet it looks great.

You can try a paint polish/cleaner before the wax. Meguiar's Ultimate Compound you should be able to find easily. If you're just using it by hand with a foam applicator, it's not particularly aggressive. Follow it up with a good wax.

You can turn this into a huge thing, claying first, using a DA polisher, etc. I gave you a relatively simple process to try first.

what condition is the paint in before the wax?...what kind of preparation have you done to the finish before waxing?...what kind of wax are you using?...

Good luck with your choice

Use 3D Speed 425. This finish was in terrible condition when I got the car. It had been neglected for 15 years and was rough and gritty to the touch. Wash it with a clay mit and use the 3D with a DA machine. Total job here was just under 3 hours.

The paint is oxidized. For increased shine, you need to polish before waxing. Realize, though, polishing removes paint, so the layer gets thinner. It may not be worth the compromise with an old car.
