Per a previous thread, I'm going to try a year long OCI in my Subaru. Unless I find a really good sale on Pennzoil Plat in the next little while, I will be running Rotella T6 for this.

T6 comes in a gallon jug and I will need anther half to a quart to get my car full.

What to top off the T6 with? PYB for the dose of moly, PP for the cleaning agents, what?

T6 also comes in 1qt bottles - Walmart has them. So, either get that or just get an extra gallon - you'll use it for your next oil change and/or for top ups.

Since T6 with it's HTHS of 4.0cP is a heavier oil than you need I'd add a half quart of any 20wt oil. And if you want a dose of moly buy a quart of Suburu 0W-20 (or Toyota 0W-20) which has the most moly you'll find this side of RL.
The resulting blend will of course still be a 5W-40 oil.

NAPA also sells quart bottles of T6.

BTW Caterham, where did you hear HTHS of 4.0? Rumor I've always heard is 4.2, actually.

He got a response from Shell Canada.

The old Rotella 5w-40 was 4.2 supposedly, but that was some 2 formulation changes ago...

Why buy a fairly high dollar oil and then mix something into it?
Buy enough of the 5W-40 to do your change, and if you have some left over, use it for your next change, or for adds as needed.
Alternatively, just put four quarts in, and when the oil level drops to the point that you need to add a quart, do so.

I vote for a bottle of lubro-moly MoS2!

If you can't find a quart of T6, and insist on avoiding leftovers (mowers, tillers, pressure washers, save for next OCI) I would probably buy a quart of T as top up if I was in that situation. At least the ad-packs and formulation should be similar.
