+1 on the tire gauge. Everybody should have at least 2 of these. Really, you should keep one in every car plus one in the garage. That's what I do. And then there's still one on each of my air pumps.

alright guys. Thanks for the comments so far.

btw, this is the 2nd page, not 3rd.

-bought a tire gauge: checked pressures: normal !!! exactly where it was before.
-did the bounce test: bouncing VERY little on both front corners: but i am only 125 lbs heavy; and the Tbird is like 3,995 lbs! perhaps I need more people :)

-anyway: I am gonna have the place check out the shocks/springs on Tue;
The factory shocks for this model (Tbird with sport package) are now obsolete and Ford doesn't even make them anymore (They're valved differently than for the non-sport Tbirds)
...however, i secured a low mile (20k maybe?) pair of front "sport" shocks about an yr ago from another owner, when he upgraded, for like $50 shipped - I am glad that I did that.

so on Tue, if it turns out to be shocks, i am gonna have them put that "new" pair on.

anything else i can do/check while i wait, except perhaps repeating the bounce test again?

There's simply no way for them to evaluate the condition of the shocks even if they remove it?

If I don't use the used pair, I'd have to get rather expensive aftermarket shocks...I am not even sure whether they make them for the Sport Package model (they might though - never checked)

i AM planning someday (next yr or two) to lower the Tbird a bit, and of course then I will be able to afford proper lowering shocks/springs, but till then, i just wanna get by...

NO.
I guess depends on how many posts you have set to appear on 1 page:
here's a screen shot of mine (pay attention to the red circle where it says page 2/2):

I'm on max too. Much easier to follow threads this way. Now, when I see that a thread is more than one page long I know it must be interesting or either way off topic. Usually the latter LOL.

Paul Harvey should narrate this thread for an accurate page count.

Used shocks are fine. Also make sure the springs are seated on their seats properly.

did you read the previous 5-6 posts?
you can SET THE NUMBER OF POSTS THAT APPEAR ON ONE PAGE according to your choice, so it's only YOU who see this as the 4th page, ok? Most of us see it on page 1 or 2. (if you don't wanna read, look at the pic i posted)

Now, if we continue with this thread, let's keep it on the topic. Thanks.

NO - I want to swear but I cant!!! What was the tire pressure as you checked it? All these pages and we still dont know the bleeping tire pressure! It better be like F33/31R - any more and ride will be wicked hash.
BTW, dead shocks will be soft and bouncy not harsh. Maybe a strut spring became dislocated.
