Hi guys
What oil filter can I get for a 19.5 hp Briggs instead of the high priced briggs?
Thanks

PH3614 crosses to Wix 51348/Napa Gold 1348. Wix is available at O'Reilly (some are behind the counter, so you may have to ask).

You can use a Fram 3600 / Purolator 20195 instead, it will stick out a bit, but it is the same base...

I have used Motorcraft FL910S, Baldwin B1410, and Wix 51348 in my 19.5 Briggs,

Thanks to all
I now have a large group to pick from
The price of 10-12 bucks for a B&S filter is crazy

I've used an FL820S, an FL400, a Fram PH16, and now just look for anything on sale in those sizes. I like them because they'll increase your total oil volume by 8-10 oz., or about 25%

That 820s has a 22mm thread....the oe briggs and the 3614 crosses have a 3/4-16 thread.....

I would use a number of manufacturer cross-walks and get some consistent results if it is your first time using a non-OEM filter.

Yes, yes it is.

I don't remember where I originally read this, but it is easy to remember:
A filter to fit a Yugo, will cross reference to a Briggs oil filter.

Coincidentally, the Briggs / Yugo mount is also common to many late model Toyota V6 engines.
I normally use the Wix 51348 on my Briggs Lawn tractor engine.
