What Oil Filter Would You Use

Im just curious which oil filter does everyone like i use Motorcrafts on my fords and i used to use a/c on my GM's but i probably won't use the new a/c oil filter because of the e core
What oil filter under $5.00 would everyone like the best i also use purolator plus in the winter because of flow and pureone in the summer. In my shop we use group 7 which is a purolator plus..
What is the best filters in everyones opinion, remember under $5.00 please

I'm with ya on the Motorcraft for fords, chryslers, jeeps. I also used to love AC's for my boats and GM's - but now they are not so good. I would normally say Pure One, but that's a touch above $5 unless you get them from amazon... so does that count? for the toyotas I just bought toyota filters in bulk for $4

absolutely nothing. I actually think they are better than the original design.

My GM cars see Supertechs or AcDelco filters

My Jeep get Supertechs and Fram when the ST is sold out

My Toyota will see Toyota filters or Supertechs depending on my mood.

PureONEs on Amazon.com are under $5 if you order over $25 worth of stuff on there and you get free shipping. That would be my choice.

At first I didn't like the e-core ACDelco. Now I'm fine with them. If I was using a strict $5 limit I would use Purolator Classics on most stuff and maybe a Motorcraft on Fords. If I get a P1 or Bosch for under $5, I'd use them.

They are new. They are different. They use newer materials.

Depending on your application, some of the Champ filters still use conventional construction, questionable dome end filter and all. You might find a Wix or Hastings for under $5.

I have decided I would rather not have my filter dollars go toward keeping German fat cats in schnapps, and have quit buying Purolator and their made bys.

At this time I don't know of any cheap, thread end bypass, made in America by an American company oil filters. I just put a made in China Dynolube D 5436 in my Ecotec and I have a Pronto PO4619 to go in my truck. It was made in America by Clarcor. It has a dome end bypass and Pronto may have switched to Purolators made in China.

I would be thrilled if somebody posts a cheap brand with a thread end bypass and made in America by an American company. If Fram didn't have a dome end clicker, I might even use them. I have been around BITOG since 2003, and the more I read, the less important I think oil filter quality is.

Got to Wal*Mart and buy an ST.

Another route, would be to buy 4 P1's at Advance Auto, print/use the $10 off (on $25) AAP coopin on the promo board, and then each P1 works out to ~$4. Not a bad deal either.

PureONEs have great flow too, and also the silicon ADBV ... which I would think would be even better for cold winter use.

PureONEs at K-Mart for $5.79 ... don't sweat over the 80 extra cents.

I only use Napa Gold filters. They are a little more than the $5 limit you have, but they are worth the extra money.

I don't know if anything iswrong with e core filters i know i have 2 filters here one old a/c from last year and 1 e-core from a few days ago the old a/c seems to weigh slightly more but i wont know anything until i cut them open
