new purolator oil filters

Just curious.. The pureone purolator oil filter would that go into bypass faster than the regular purolator plus in the cold winter?
What filter would be better in the winter i figured the plus would have better flow..

I have 2 Pureones that I'll probably be using up before the end of winter.
