What oil are you running in your 4 strokes?

I have a 7.4 L fuel injected V8, currently running Starbrite semi-synthetic 25w-40 (because it was cheap at Walmart). My next change will be Triax full synthetic Marine Ultra 25w-40. It's the best deal around at $38 for 5 quarts. I am currently running Triax marine gear lube in the gearcase, Triax fluid in the power trim, and power steering unit as well. Love this stuff.

My son bought a boat yesterday with a 25hp
Mercury jet 526cc L3.
Pennzoil ultra platinum Euro 5w40 is on sale, meets API SP, vis@100C 13.3 should work for him along with a Fram Ultra synthetic 6607.
What say you outboard motor experts?
Am I out to lunch on this one?

Same. Used Delo 15w/40 in my old Yamaha 50 4 stroke and will do the same for a newer Merc 115 on the pontoon. Very rare we ever go
past 1/2 throttle except for towing kids on a tube.

I'm running at or near WOT for several minutes at a time along with plenty of idling. I once checked oil shortly after a run and did not see any "Foam" on dipstick. I have noticed oil slowly rising up dipstick due to fuel dilution, so I change oil every 50 hrs or so. Oil filter every other oil change.
