I was just thinking that a small business could make a pretty good living on just the amount of combined money BITOG members spend a month on fuel.

2001 Volvo S40 for the wife
2007 Mazda3 for me.
We should be cutting that in half after this month now that my wife is staying home to take care of our son and several other kids. No more daycare bill either!!! The gas bill is nothing compared to that.

I seem to need about 40 gallons a month if I fill up every 13-14 days.

<$50 per month keeping the Ninja full and adding some to the Mazda on the rare occasions that it gets out of the garage. Love my 4.9 mile commute and living <2 miles from the stores.

i guess i should add i have a truck and a car. the truck avgs 15mpg and the coupe about 18mpg. however, the truck takes regular gas and the coupe takes premium gas so that evens things out a bit.
i live in the north part of the city and my job is in the south. unable to locate to another house closer to work because the home prices down near work are much greater (3x-6x) in cost. i could move way way down south, but then i'd just be swapping one commute for another.

I just checked Visa receipts and we spent $198 on gas in the Xterra and $148 on the SRT, in the month of May. And no, I don't know how many miles that was.
I also just filled two gas cans for the mowers and it was $42.

About 600 bucks a month on the Crown Vic..On the highway I can get 25MPG but those bumper to bumper jams kill me and their are allot of them down here in Miami and Lauderdale.
Minimum credit card payment!!! just kidding.
