Since I have been doing a lot of grilling and smoking so far this year, I was curious about what are your favorite grills or smokers to cook on?

I have various Weber Performers and Kettles as well as a few Weber WSM smokers. I also have a PBC(Pit Barrel Cooker) and a PK Grill(Portable Kitchen). I also have a couple of older Weber gas grills. I really need to thin some of these out.

Lately my favorite ones to cook on are the PBC and PK Grill but I still use the Weber Performer and the gas grills on occasion.

So lets hear what you like to cook on.

I'm looking for a natural gas grill that won't break the bank. The Webers are nice, but expensive. I'm also curious what people like here.

Weber all the way. Various kettles in sizes. Parents have a Hasty Bake and it's not as enjoyable as a kettle. They're so versatile.

For smokers, I've used a WSM 22 and have downsized to a WSM 18. Great size for a normal family, runs 16+ hours on on ring of Kingsford without water in the pan. Added a BBQ Guru DigiQ to handle the temp duties. It's a match made in heaven and I'd put my BBQ up against smokers at twice the cost. Lots of coworkers around here (Kansas City area) us Traeger pellet smokers.

You know you can use your Weber kettle grill has a smoker too. I use my Weber 22 inch as that all the time. I can maintain low temps like 240-260 by having a small fire and all the air openings closed. I've smoked pork ribs on there many times. Works great. Ive smoked ohh about 30 plus spiral hams on there, briskets three times, MANY beef ribs racks.. so I use my Weber 22 inch has a smoker/ grill. Been using it 4 yrs now. The top handle popped off a month ago. My step father rigged up a new top and screwed it on. So, it been steady trucking since this repair a month ago.

I've got the following.

Weber Genesis
22" Weber Kettle
Weber Q100
Camp Chef pellet
Little Chief
Bradley Digital
Smokey Mt. propane.

My favorite are the Genesis and the Camp Chef. The Genesis for steaks, burgers, etc. The Camp Chef for ribs, brisket, shoulder, etc

Favorite Smoker WSM by Weber.
Favorite Grill Weber Kettle. Have 26" and 22".
Have Rotisserie for the 22". 14 to 15 lb. Turkey's are great.
Not my favorite Primo Oval (Retirement gift). I can't get good favor. It's like cooking in house oven. Maybe I will learn. Uses very little Lump Charcoal.
I need to thin out too just ask my wife.

22" Weber Kettle
14" Weber Kettle
Weber Q200

The 22" Weber also serves as a great smoker.

The 14" Weber is super good for high heat searing for 2-3 people.

The Q200 is just a great all around direct heat grill.

I have a Masterbuilt Electric smoker for salmon and steaks. Farberware electric broiler for smaller meats and a mini forman grill for searing vegetables like peppers and asparagus. Its so hot in KS I am considering scrambling some eggs and put in a pan and see if sun cant cook them.

Thanks for all of the replies. It looks like the Webers are the crowd favorite so far. When I got back into charcoal grilling in 2007, it was the 22" Weber Kettle that I bought. I then got on some of the Weber forums and it was downhill from there.

I then found a 1995 Red Stainless steel performer on CL and then couldn't stop buying some of the older Kettles I found.

I also have a Weber Jumbo Joe and a Weber gas anywhere Portable grill.

I also forgot to mention I have a 22" and 14" Old Smokey grill.

I guess you can tell I like trying out different ones. Now I just need to decide what to get rid of. Keep them coming.

I have a Weber 22 inch kettle, and I do BBQ Boston butt on it too with a mix of hickory and apple wood chunks.

I am definitely going to buy a Pit Barrel Cooker. Love the idea of just hanging the meat, and cooking it that way. I have watched all the PBC videos, and I am sold on it.

I had a brinkmann, and it was rubbish...the "ember proof" firepan also made it fire proof, and needed holes drilled in it to get the draft right...could be run so low that you could dry jerky in it, but really flimsy and didn't last.

Have a 22" charcoal weber, that I love, especially now I've got a chimnet starter. As bbhero suggests, you CAN run it very low, not (in my experience) beef jerky low.

I've got a little suitcase Weber, which was good while it was just the two of us.

My gas grill is an Oz made Rinnai...it's going to the dump one day...cast iron burners from sheets of rush that need to be flaked off, and cause uneven heating.

With the weber and the chimney, gas just isn't that convenient anymore. (although ALDI have a couple of Gas smokers for $75 on clearance that have me thinking)

It is a great cooker that cooks some of the best chicken I have ever eaten. Very juicy. The ribs also come out better than anything I ever cooked on the WSM. It even does a good job on hamburgers on the included grate. You also don't have to baby sit this thing. I highly recommend them.

I have been cooking everything on my Traeger from hot dogs to steaks and chicken.

I have an assortment of 5 hardwoods, a blend, pecan, hickory, apple and mesquite.

The flavor is incredible and it's idiot proof.

I have a Green Mountain Grills Daniel Boone pellet grille, much like a Traeger that I love for smoking and cooking chicken and pizzas. I'm thinking about adding a Weber Genesis for those quick burgers or hotdogs.
