Just a little story...
I was a member of a firearms focused forum where it turned out that one moderately long term member was a member of the CAGE unit of the Chicago PD trolling for people to bust. There were some police officers in the forum that figured out who he was or no one would have been the wiser.
Not casting aspersions at anyone, but not everyone online is who you think they are and forums are not as anonymous as a lot of people would believe.

That's a BDG to carry all day every day unless it's in a duty holster, just saying
I have several different holsters, but most of the time it's in a leather IWB. I'm average size guy around 6'0 210lbs.
That's still impressive, when I was on the job, duty weapon was a Colt Lightweight Commander carried in a Jordan Border Patrol duty rig, tried it but too bulky for off duty even in a JayPee belt holster. Eventually just ended up carrying my BUG, a S&W M37 with a bobbed hammer. That was a long time ago in another life it seems. Somehow my M642UC seems comfortable in the same way. My weight was about 150 then. 195 now.

Carried one just like that (USMC issue) during the Gulf War. I have one in my gun safe now but it is too heavy for daily wear.
That’s a lot of gun for every day. Nothing wrong with a full size combat pistol, my wife has a 92 for the house, but that’s a lot of gun to carry and conceal.
I have at least a dozen carry guns I will rotate around for the fun of it but the most carried by far are two Taurus pistols. A G2c 40 and also a Slim 709. I have two of the G2c 40’s, one black and one OD green. They work. The 709 is quite slim and light so it’s a nice hot weather not a lot of clothes pistol.
I probably qual'd on the same one you were issued
. The m9 they gave me to qualify with was so loose, I was waiting for it to fall apart.
