Are these zeros or “O”s? I’ve tried both and can’t get a hit on this VIN on any search engine.

Thanks. Google gave me “no results” so I’m curious how you found it. Based on your link it’s being sold as a rebuild.

That’s what I tried and got the same result you did. Curious…
I just entered the letters and digits in Google (without entering "VIN") and got multiple hits as shown below. I assumed the 0 was zero, not the letter "o".

My decoder lists it as a 2015 Toyota Venza XLE, 2.7 liter 1AR-FE 4-cylinder engine, 5 door, front wheel drive and made in Georgetown, Kentucky. This data differs from the scrap yard information with regard to the all-wheel drive listing. Unless it's verified to have all-wheel drive I would not bank on it without seeing it.

Pix from the seller show an AWD badge on the rear hatch, but that might just mean it had a hatch transplant.

What's the mileage indicated ? Leading up to 4/2022, it had 261k miles on it, then 5 months later, it is reported with 55k miles. It's moved all over the country in it's lifetime....

I would steer clear (pardon the pun) of that vehicle. Sounds like it has a checkered past with a very "iffy" pedigree. Could be a stolen vehicle and re-vin'd as already suggested. Could be a salvage vehicle that was re-vin'd. Etc ...

There exists a vast, huge pool of easily searched vehicles with easily-verifiable history to choose from; there's no reason to take on one which makes you ponder its legitimacy.

Vins that start with 1,4, or 5 are USA manufactured 3 is Mexico and 2 is Canada.

I would not get too wrapped up in the mileage discrepancy as CarFax can get messed up pretty easily if a shop misreports it. You know it has over 250K at least and not like you can maximize any remaining residual value as that has long expired.
