I found a can I had of it. CRC White Lithium Grease. I can't remember what I was trying to do, but.

What is the intended purpose/use of this stuff?

I’ve used it to cover up spots on a frame to prevent rust, it sticks pretty well and doesn’t wash away easily. I’m nit saying I’d do a whole frame with it, just high traffic areas. Fluid film for the whole frame.

Other than that...I’ve used it around the house on gym equipment, door hinges, stuff like that. I like the consistency of it, it goes in like a paste and a little easier than a typical grease. IMO,

I’ve never used it. I use WD40 on my hinges and 3 in 1 oil too. For my locks and Ignition I use what I attached here.

I was going to say. Everyone seems to hate WD-40...

I've heard of WD-40 messing up guns

But I sprayed some WD40 in my Subaru ignition key cylinder today and now it turns smooth again.
Ya it works but it's mostly solvent so it doesn't lube long and it can attract dirt. Works awesome as a cleaner/drier though.

It's used by a lot of people because it's easy to find and has good brand recognition but better products exist for the same price.

Personally I like the super lube products for that kind of general purpose stuff even has a dry film version but they're far from the only game in town.

Ive never been a fan of the spray stuff... too messy and doesn’t do a lot. A small tube of the stuff can be useful when you can smear it strategically.... though even then I prefer super lube or whatever chassis lube I have.

Just wait a few months till it starts getting gummy. WD40 has many uses, but not here.
