I bought a new '06 Honda Ridgeline two days ago and I want to purchase a case or two of Honda ATF-Z1 so that I can do drain refills every other oil change or so.

I'd like to see if I can find this stuff online cheaper than at the local dealer but I'm having trouble finding the actual part number using Google.

Thanks!

Thanks. I know I'd get a response here. I appreciate your assistance.

With that history of Odyssey transmissions, I think I'd clean it with Auto-Rx, flush and refill with Schaeffer #204SAT, or Amsoil ATF, or Z-1 plus Lubegard red, and add an inline Magnefine or SPX Filtran filter.

I know, the Schaeffer and Amsoil ATFs aren't licensed by Honda, but they are likely more robust than Honda's ATF and guaranteed to work by their respective manufacturers.

I called http://hondaparts4you.com/ by phone and ordered ATF Z1 last year. Did not need a part number. Just gave my verbal order to the parts man over the phone. No online orders. Price was about $3.10/quart then. Add $6.00 shipping to any size order. You might want to buy a few other things so that you will not need to pay another shipping charge the next time you buy drain washers, wiper blades or cabin air filters. Tax free outside of Connecticut. Many online Honda dealers will not ship fluids. This one did.

I wonder about that transmission. The Odyssey forums are full of tranmsission failures. My co worker's 2002 Odyssey and another's 2002 TL both had transmission failures requiring replacement. No warranty on the Odyssey. Had to pay the full price to fix. My trans may be next.
