Have used Meguiar's in several flavors including Gold Class and Tech Wax. Turtle Wax Ice etc etc.

I've stuck with NuFinish for the last several years and have been perfectly happy. Easy on. Easy off. Long lasting. In between the yearly wax job, I'll hit it with some Turtle Wax Ice spray detailer to freshen it up a bit which seems to be a winning combination for what I'm looking for.

I'm not concerned about getting an "ultimate" or "deep gloss" or whatever buzzword you want to attach to a wax job. My primary concern is simply protecting the paint. Our alley which our driveway is off of is gravel so its either dust or sandy/muddy splash when it rains that constantly gets on the vehicles.

Also considering I'm not driving any supersexy hey look at me cars (Century, Golf, Taurus wagon) I just don't care. Of course I'm also married, in my 30s, have a child, and have a receeding hairline so its not like I'm going out to cruise for tail like in my younger days.

See that is the difference between your average joe blow like you and somebody that owns auto's they actually enjoy. I wont buy a car or truck that I don't enjoy. I know I am different than 99% of the population. All I have to do is take a look at all the average ugly body style cars on the road. People certainly are not buying them for looks. We also walked away from buying a house because it was on a gravel road. No freaking way would I ever live in that situation.

I am a car guy.

Why does he have to be an average "Joe Blow". I find that insulting.
What exactly qualifies a car to be "all the average ugly body style cars on the road".

I'm married with 2 children in private school, a mortgage, 3 vehicles well maintained, and my favorite being my 1996 Geo Metro that gets me 45 mpg.

What I meant by it was the average person falls into the average car rut at some point. I find very few cars made today have any real style or looks to them. I myself wont buy a car or truck if I think it is ugly even if said car or truck got 100mpg and carried 8 people. If I don't enjoy driving it then I wont own it.

That type of person doesn't really care about how a car looks. Throw a little protection on the paint and walk away because they simply do not care. Nothing wrong with that at all. Some people simply are not into auto's like some others are. It was not meant to be offensive.
