I need something I can wax my black car with that I can buy right now cause I havnt ordered the Zaino but I may sell the car in a few days..The paint is new and it has been 60 days since it was painted so I am ready to wax it...I need something that doesnt leave haze or marks on dark paint. it doesnt have to last 6 months but I would like it to last more than a week..
thanks

ColorX is Meguiar's version of NuFinish or F21. Too aggressive for new paint IMO.

Meguiars NXT (looks great on black) or Mothers FX Synwax (nice bright shine) would be my two choices for a decent store bought wax.

Duragloss #105 is the sht, its a sealant makes black and red look really wet, I also use aqua wax by Duragloss.
The results a similar to Zaino, at a fraction of the price, Car-quest sells their products, if not in stock they can order it no charge for shipping,

NXT is a great great great looking wax, but you will be lucky if it lasts longer than one wash. If you use it you should use a wax on top.

I agree! I use NXT on my black Corvette, because it's great at hiding swirl marks and bringing out the shine on the paint, but it definitely does not last very long. You notice a big difference after the first wash and by the third or fourth wash it's almost completely gone. Luckily it's very easy to buff off so I don't mind putting on a fresh coat once every week or two in the summer so that it hides my swirl marks. I do intend on getting my paint buffed out properly so that the swirl marks are not just hidden, but completely removed. Then I'll probably try a different wax that is more durable. (perhaps I'll go back to Zaino again)

Locate 3M product/part #39009 (use as directed)then follow with a Mothers* product(1 or a combination)to suit your budget.
Youll be impressed at the performance of good ole' 39009

SS/LS

3M Perfect-it Polish followed my your favorite wax. I used Meguiar's Gold Glass and got a very smooth a shiny finish. The Gold class doesn't last to long, my next wax of choice is to top with Collinite 476S.

Exactly, I bought some and it lasted 2 weeks and was all gone. Yes, it looks good, but if you want any longevity, forget it. You might as well be applying water.

Since you are planning on selling the car I also vote for NXT. Easy on & off and provides a lot of bling bling for a potential buyer's eyes to gawk at. Do it twice to assure even coverage. Were you keeping the car there are much better choices.

Ditto. I just started using Duragloss based on Autopia. They are great products at a great price. Carquest has an excellent sale now throught the end of May:

101 Cleaner Polish = $6.99
Aqua Wax = $4.99

I recently tried the older 108 Sport Utility Polish (101 clone), and received great results. I plan to top it with Aqua Wax tomorrow.
